30/11/2006

RDM Group Ltd received their accolade for Regional Champion and a cheque for £2000 from Ian Smith, Senior Vice President & Managing Director of Oracle at the third annual Advantage West Midlands ICT Cluster Conference held at the National Motorcycle on Tuesday 21st November.  The conference, which attracted around 250 delegates from ICT organisations across the region, was a chance for those in the industry to network and learn about the ICT Cluster activities that are occurring within the region.  The West Midlands ICT Awards, in their second year, seek to recognise excellence amongst West Midlands ICT companies, helping to share their achievements.
RDM Group Ltd, joint winners of the Most Innovative Product category, has developed a car security system that is revolutionising the fight against car thieves by identifying car owners through their mobile phones. Auto-txt immediately identifies a car as stolen if the car is started with the keys but the mobile phone is not present. Most significantly, when the police are following a stolen car, Auto-txt allows them to track the vehicle and prevent it restarting using remote wireless technology once the vehicle ignition is turned off.
Vishal Nayar, ICT Cluster Chair said: “RDM Group is paving the way in its field and is working with some of the largest automotive companies in the . The company has shown innovation in their field, with an exciting business strategy, a professional attitude, and cutting edge products that have an enormous commercial potential.”
David Keene, Managing Director, RDM and GTM Cars Ltd said: “RDM Group Ltd has successfully brought to the market an advanced telematics system (Auto-txt) incorporating vehicle tracking, security features and remote diagnostics capability.
