In the second of our series of Rising Stars, an initiative to identify young and innovative West Midlands technology companies, we look to Coventry and Warwickshire. We asked the companies a series of questions to find out what they offer, the secret to their success and future plans. We start with RuralNet Futures, a company that builds web based services to support good causes such as Project Rurener, a project that aims to reduce carbon usage in rural communities in 8 EU countries. Our second company Tortrix Ltd develops software for healthcare providers. Its electronic patient discharge system is currently on trial at the George Elliot Hospital in Nuneaton. Finally Embed Ltd, an embedded systems consultancy that focuses on real-time control systems using model-based design techniques to improve quality and productivity.
