Open source technology is currently emerging as the most widely used technology in the SME sector.

The Management and Enterprise Development Centre at UCE have a developed and proven expertise in the area of open source technologies. The UCE Open Source team is continuously encouraging the use of open source technology within the SME sector. During this process the expertise team has developed valuable links with the industry on both the sides of developer and user community. The team at UCE is currently working towards increasing the communication between the developing and user community by organising various events and support programs. These programs and events are aimed at developing the knowledge base within the user community in regards with use of open source technology.
